A Welcoming Transformation

When our clients approached us to reimagine the entrance of their new home, we were immediately drawn to the vintage wooden wall panels that defined the space. As seen in the original images, the entrance carried a rustic charm that we were keen to preserve — while gently breathing new life into it.

The brief was to create a more vibrant and inviting atmosphere, inspired by a mid-century cottage aesthetic.

To bring this vision to life, we began by selecting porcelain tiles for the flooring — a practical yet refined choice for a high-traffic area, offering durability without compromising on timeless appeal. We then redefined the architectural framework of the space, reconstructing the door surrounds and introducing tongue-and-groove panelling to the walls. These additions allowed the old and the new to coexist seamlessly.

The transformation is subtle yet significant. The entrance now feels warm, composed and characterful — a space that honours its origins while presenting a renewed identity.

The result is an entryway that welcomes with elegance and intention, setting the tone for the home beyond.
